Here’s a great video about saving Pouch Scout Camp on Staten Island.
The Borough Presidents Office continues its efforts to save the Pouch Camp property from development. This 120-acre site has long been the home of the Boy Scouts on Staten Island.
Recently the Boy Scouts of New York announced plans to put the property on the market due to budget problems.
The Borough President together with all of Staten Island elected officials adamantly oppose any development at Pouch Camp and are working with City, State and Federal officials on a means to acquire Pouch Camp as protected parkland forever.
